The deadlines coming up in cosmetic law in the EU and Great Britain, and the changes already built into the engine, so your next print run is prepared and your analysis always runs on the rules in force.
Rules already published and the dates they set, both upcoming and just passed. Your analysis already knows them: it flags each rule as a dated reminder before its date and applies it from that date on, so your next print run is ready in time. The countdown updates on its own each time you open this page.

Reg. (EC) 1223/2009 (GB), Art. 19(1)(ab)
Until 31 December 2027, Great Britain accepts a label that meets the EU rule on the responsible person. From 1 January 2028 the label must show the UK Responsible Person and, for imported products, the country of origin.
The last day on which a label that follows the earlier rule is still accepted.
From 30 July 2026 the glossary of common ingredient names applies: Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2025/1175, adopted under Article 33 of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. Your analysis now compares the names in the list of ingredients with the glossary. When it recognises a name written another way, it tells you which glossary name to write instead. For names it could not match, it recommends looking them up in the glossary. When most of the list is outside the glossary, it tells you, and the report marks the check as incomplete. For ingredients present as nanomaterials, it advises writing the word "nano" in brackets. For Great Britain, where the EU glossary does not apply, the UK guidance recommends the INCI name: there your analysis checks the terms "parfum" and "aroma" in the list of ingredients.

We have integrated Directive (EU) 2024/825 on environmental claims. Its bans apply through each country's national law: the Directive set 27 September 2026 as the date for every Member State, the Netherlands applies them from 16 July 2026 and Greece from 10 July 2026, and in France, Spain, Poland and Czechia they will apply from the date set by the national law, once it is in force. For each market you select, your analysis uses that country's date and status. It now recognises the practices the Directive bans in every case: generic environmental claims such as "eco-friendly" or "green" with no specification on the pack and no official ecolabel, climate-neutrality claims based on offsetting greenhouse gas emissions, and sustainability labels created by the company itself. For each claim it shows you the way forward: make it specific on the pack, show a recognised label such as the EU Ecolabel with its registration number, or remove it. In France, the mentions "biodégradable" and "respectueux de l'environnement" have been banned on the product and on its packaging since 2022 by the Code de l'environnement, and your analysis flags them on packs for France. The analysis assesses the sides you upload: if the specification is printed on another side, upload that side too and it is taken into account.

We have updated our Privacy Policy. Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL (Luxembourg) is now listed among the providers that process data on our behalf: through its Amazon SES service it sends the emails of the service, for example to confirm your email address, to tell you that your access has been approved or that we have replied to your feedback, and it processes your email address and the text of the message in its EU region in Frankfurt. The entry for Anthropic, our AI provider, now also covers the feedback you send us: your messages and their attachments, to prepare an automatic reply, and your messages, to sort them. We have built in Regulation (EU) 2026/909. It introduces four new hair dye substances (HC Blue No 18, HC Yellow No 16, HC Red No 18 and Hydroxypropyl-p-phenylenediamine), already usable within the stated limits, and one newly permitted preservative. It bans Triphenyl Phosphate and revises some limits for Citral, Benzyl Salicylate, water-soluble zinc salts and aluminium ingredients: for these, your analysis flags from now, as a dated reminder, what to adjust before it becomes mandatory on 1 January 2027, so you reach your next print run prepared.

We have deepened coverage of Regulation (EU) 2026/78, which has applied since 1 May 2026. It adds a group of prohibited substances and brings a few changes that matter in practice: the rules on silver change, Hexyl Salicylate joins the substances with use conditions, and Sodium o-Phenylphenate becomes a permitted preservative carrying the mandatory warning "Avoid contact with eyes". Your analysis takes all of this into account.
